5 Tips for a Stress-Free Holiday

Spread the love

This post is sponsored by Community Coffee Company but all opinions are my own.

OK MOMS…. Time to get serious. The holidays are right around the corner and we need all the help we can get!! Today we’re talking about 5 tips that will help you have a stress free holiday instead of spending the entire month of December worrying about it!

1.First and foremost, go ahead and get a bulk order of coffee from your local Walmart! Gone are the days of one cup in the morning…. No ladies, we are into 2-3 cup days so make sure to get something you know you will LOVE from sun-up to “OMG HOW DID YOU MANAGE TO PULL THE ORNAMENTS OFF THE TREE IN THE 3 SECONDS I WAS IN THE BATHROOM??” My choice for a consistently smooth, quality coffee that everyone will love is the new, Walmart exclusive 37-ounce canister of American Classic™ blend from Community Coffee Company! Community® coffee has been around for over 100 years so you know they are doing something right! I love this 37-ounce canister Walmart-exclusive because it has such a well-rounded flavor with notes of vanilla and cocoa which is perfect for the holiday season! Let’s face it, us moms are already at our local Walmart like… every.single.day. leading up to Christmas so be sure to put this one on your list!

2. My second tip, and probably the most important for a truly stress-free holiday is to remember that being perfect is lame. I promise you, your kids would rather have a messy house and a mom who is present than a mom who is always worrying about perfection! So go ahead and forego the expensive holiday candles and perfectly curated wrapping paper if you know it always stresses you out and focus on making memories!

3. Third, do as much as you can, as early as you can! Don’t wait until Christmas Eve to wrap all of the gifts (like I usually do). This will just cause you to be up super late and then be groggy in the morning when your kids are jumping on your bed at 5am (cue the Community® coffee coming in clutch again!) This year I am going to pre-wrap the gifts and then stick them somewhere where I know my kids won’t look! Like in the closet where I keep cleaning supplies *rolls eyes*.

4. Carve out time for yourself!  I like to go ahead and schedule a massage, maybe a facial, or even just pencil in some gym time so I can get away from the screaming little humans for a second and go listen to some T Swift with my girlfriends at my favorite Barre class! Whatever it is that fills your cup, make sure to SCHEDULE IT NOW. I find that if I don’t schedule me-time in advance, I find reasons to skip it. Remember, you can’t take care of others if you don’t take care of yourself!

5. Last but not least, remember what the season is all about. It’s not about pokemon. It’s not about Madden ‘20 and it’s certainly not about the biggest and the most STUFF. It’s about giving. It’s about love. It’s about togetherness. And it’s about fellowship. So when you feel that stress of the holiday rat race creep into your mind, pour yourself a nice warm cup of coffee, smile, and remember the reason for the season, yall!

Shop the mug!
